Launch Location: Boat ramp at Harbour Towne Marina.
Harbour Towne Marina, Dania Beach, FL
Personal Notes: We launched from this location hoping to explore the patch of mangroves just east of the boat ramp. While we did find a few trails in the mangroves all the ones leading into the middle of the mangroves were too grown over to paddle through. After exploring all the trails that we could find in this patch of mangroves we headed south along the Intercoastal waterway and under the Dania Beach drawbridge.
After passing under the Dania Beach drawbridge we then headed west, going against the tide, until we got to the lake at Westlake. Once there we rode the tide back to the Intercoastal waterway and headed north to Whiskey Creek.
We paddled north on Whiskey Creek to the facilities in John U. Lloyd Beach State Park. After stretching our legs and walking around a bit we headed back to the launch point.
