Personal Notes: We went out with a group of kayakers from the Meetup group GoneKayaking. After paddling with them to the Ocean Ridge Nature Area and back again we said goodbye and then continued paddling around the bay checking out the area just north of the inlet.

Park Admission Fee: There is a $10 fee for using the boat ramp but they waved the fee for us since we carry of kayaks into the water.
   
Description: This is a popular launch location for power boats going out the inlet into the ocean. There is a small sandy launch area on the north side of the fishing pier that is perfect for launching kayaks. There is plenty of trailer parking and also an area for cars without trailers to park.
   
You can also park and launch at the Intercoastal Park right next to this location but you will need to portage your kayak a good distance to the water and there isn’t any parking for trailers.
   
Boat traffic is this area can be busy at time in the channel but much of this area is shallow sandbars where you will be safe from boat traffic. The inlet itself is about the most hazardous inlet that I’ve ever taken a power boat out and would advise against trying to paddle a kayak out the inlet.
  
Kayak Rentals Availability: Kayak rentals are not available at this location but right next to this location at Intercoastal Park there is a kiosk run by Paddle Away Sports that rents kayaks.
   
Amenities: The Clubhouse has an open floor plan with a small kitchen area (no cooking equipment) and restrooms. A large pavilion is adjacent on the east side of the building. The park features boat ramps, a fishing pier, play equipment, picnic shelters and restrooms.
